SDH Kupwara Doctors Perform Abdominal Hysterectomy
Kupwara : Doctors at Sub-district Hospital Kupwara Friday conducted an Abdominal Hysterectomy, marking the formal start of gynecological surgeries at the health facility.
The Abdominal Hysterectomy procedure was conducted by Gynecologist Dr. Aamir Iqbal Lone assisted by Dr Raheema (DNB student) Dr. Sainy Asnain (DNB student) Nisar Bhat and Ab. Ahad in presence of an anesthesia team led by Dr Jahangir, Dr Zaka and Gh. Rasool Bhat (senior anesthesia technician) and Veer Pal.
The patient, as per a doctor, was presented to them with abnormal uterine bleeding with USG documented adenomyosis, not responding to medication.
Based on clinical examination and relevant investigations TAH was planned and logistic support was sought from Medical Superintendent SDH Kupwara Dr. Mir Shafi.
The whole procedure, including medication, was done free of cost under Ayushman Bharat scheme.
