PS Handwara and PS Vilgam seize illicit timber, 02 FIRs registered

Handwara : Today on April 28, 2023, PS Handwara recovered 45 numbers of illicit timber logs lying in the house of one person named Mohd Yousuf Ganie S/O Gh Mohd Ganie R/O Harnipora Shahlal. The timber was seized and the accused arrested. FIR No.94/2023 U/S 379 IPC, 26 IF Act has been registered at PS Handwara and investigation initiated.

Further, a police party of PS Villgam recovered illicit timber from Bulinar Tarathpora. FIR No 45/2023 U/S 379 IPC, 26 IF Act stands registered at PS Vilgam and investigation has been initiated.
