PP Awoora Organises Thana Diwas Program
Kupwara : In a bid to strengthen the bond between Police and the public, Police Post Awoora organised “Thana Diwas” programme here on thursday.
The aim and objective of the program was to strengthen the relationship between Police and the public and soughting help from the public to curb the illegal activities being practiced in our society.
The “Thana Diwas” Program was attended by ASP Kupwara Farhat Jeelani alongside with SHO Trehgam Adnan and IC PP Awoora Mansoor Ahmed.
The program was participated by the eminent citizens of the area, PRI’s including BDC Qadirabad, Sarpanchs of Awoora A,B,C & D, Sarpanch of Zirhama, Laderwan, civil society members, members from the trading community, and others.
During the proceedings, many issues pertaining to the enforcement of law, drug abuse, domestic violence, cyber crime and responsible internet usage were througly discussed. The participants were urged to remain vigilant against social evils in society.
They were also directed to identify signs of drug abuse among their family and acquaintances and seek the medical assistance for timely intervention.
During the program, many participants exchange their ideas with ASP Kupwara & IC PP Awoora in which participants raised their issues including drugs and other social evils.
The attending officers gave a patient hearing of them and assured the participants for full support and cooperation in curbing the social evils from the community.
