One-day Entrepreneurship Awareness program held at ITI Shopian

SHOPIAN : JKEDI Shopian in collaboration with ITI Shopian today organized a one day Entrepreneurship awareness program at ITI Shopian.

The program was attended by leading Entrepreneurs of the district, who shared their Entrepreneurial journey with the participants.

District Nodal Officer JKEDI, Arshid Malik gave a detailed presentation on Entrepreneurship and Start-up Ecosystem of Country and UT of J&K and stressed on the need of innovative ideas and entrepreneurship as the solution for various problems faced by society in contemporary solutions.

Many students shared their ideas about various startups and the bottlenecks they are facing in implementing the idea and were provided with on spot solutions by the organizers.

Superintendent ITI Shopian stressed on the role of the manufacturing sector and participation of women in the workforce as need of hour in making India a developed country and powerhouse of economic prosperity.

He stressed that the stereotype of keeping women away from the formal economy is being shed away and the women are increasingly participating in the growth story of the country. He also gave a brief of various gender specific schemes that are being implemented by the Government of India to empower women.
