Lt Governor attends parade for 636 new recruits of Border Security Force
The Lt Governor saw the BSF's contribution beyond the borders and its role in the conduct of the DDC's peaceful elections in Kashmir County

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday attended the 636 Border Security Force passing ceremony at STC BSF, Udhampur.
Speaking at the event, Lt Governor said the country's first defense force had made a significant contribution to the fight against terrorism and instability with heroism and determination.
Emphasizing that close co-operation and communication are needed to eradicate terrorism and terrorist threats from outside our borders, Lt Governor argued that the BSF with effective mechanisms and response systems is fully prepared to address the challenges.

Lt Governor also commended the BSF's generous contribution and commitment in ensuring peace and order at UT in Jammu and Kashmir. "I pay tribute to all the brave soldiers and officers who laid down their lives in ensuring the security of the border and the protection of the sovereignty, the integrity of our country," he said.
The Lt Governor saw the BSF's contribution beyond the borders and its role in the conduct of the DDC's peaceful elections in Kashmir County, apart from its public service programs during the COVID violence, a strong cross-border investigation and drug trafficking, is a sign. evidence of its significant contribution to the process and development in the region.
“The BSF has always been very committed to providing a safe and secure environment for ordinary citizens. It has served the people of the border communities in times of crisis in a spirit of self-sacrifice and has always facilitated partnership development and progress ”, he added.

Earlier, the Lt Governor paid homage to the delightful march passing by the passing students and then inspected the event followed by the swearing-in ceremony.
Lt Governor also presented awards to successful graduates in their training
Shri Pardeep Katyal, Inspector General of BSF STC, Udhampur presented the welcome address and provided details of the various training sessions provided to the passing nominees.

A colorful introduction with a music yoga theme was also planned, followed by a one-minute piercing of the staff by the staff.
At the event, students from Government Higher Secondary School, Jaganoo, performed a series of cultural feats featuring Dogra culture that was much appreciated and enjoyed by the audience.
