Loud sound heard near Golden Temple, probe underway
AMRITSAR: An explosion was heard near the Golden Temple in Amritsar in the wee hours of Thursday, sources said. This was the third explosion that rocked the vicinity within a week.
According to the details, the blast took place at nearly 1 am.
One suspect was detained by the Punjab Police after the crude bomb exploded.
Sources also said two men and a woman were staying at a nearby room at the time of the blast. All three were being questioned.
No group claimed the responsibility of the blast so far and the incident was being probed by the Punjab Police.(Agencies)
